The John F. Kennedy High School girls lacrosse team endured a tough season despite making it to the first round of the playoffs, where the Gaels were defeated by Briarcliff 17-7.

BREWSTER – Coach Gerry Walsh and the Brewster High girls lacrosse team were hoping for a better season than the 7-9 record they finished with. BREWSTER—It was another strong season for the Brewster High track team, as both the boys and girls won their league championships. In addition to the team championships, the Bears also sent freshman Ariana Bottalico to the state championships in the 3,000-meter run. Full Story

SOMERS—It was not an overwhelming season for the Kennedy track and field squad, but the Gaels saw great individual performances all year. They saw some school records broken and sent six athletes to the state championships. They only held 23 kids on the team, but made it work, and enjoyed a solid season. Full Story

The opening of the 2010 bass season was a non-event for me, for a lot of reasons. The grandkids, Kevin and Kyle, who played tee-ball on the Giants team at the Carmel High field, were part of a endof season barbecue up at Carmada Park, here in Carmel. Full Story
