PUTNAM VALLEY—The goal was clear-cut coming into the 2010 season: the Putnam Valley High lacrosse team wanted to do what no other PV team before them had done—win back-to-back sectional titles. Young Kennedy Softball Team Looks Toward the Future
SOMERS—The John F. Kennedy Catholic High School softball squad was full of underclassmen and firsttime varsity players. The inexperience showed on a number of occasions during the season, but so did the potential. The team struggled to be consistent but got some good wins and even made the playoffs. Mahopac High Track Teams Experienced Success in 2010
The Mahopac High track and field teams enjoyed solid seasons in 2010. Both the boys and girls teams had 2-2 records in dual meets. The boys came in third place at both the county and league meets. The girls placed second in both meets. Full Story
Young PV Team Keeps Moving Forward
PUTNAM VALLEY—The Putnam Valley high girls lacrosse struggled to find consistency at some points in the season. The team had many freshman and sophomores and only four seniors, despite their youth they were able to get to the playoffs. Sox 11U Team Moves into 2nd Week of Play
CARMEL—The 11U Kent White Sox boys baseball team won their first three games of the season before dropping two in a row this past week. They beat Somers by 16 runs then Shrub Oak, 9-4 and Mount Kisco, 12-1 but lost to Mahopac 5-3. On Saturday they lost to New Fairfield 12-4 at Ryan’s Field. Full Story
