KENT—The Kent White Sox college division team (24U) picked two important wins last weekend - beating Cortlandt, 9-4, Sunday at Ryan Park, and edging Stamford, 1-0, Saturday at home - and advanced to this week’s playoffs. Full Story
Kent White Sox (12U) Continues to Excel
KENT—The Kent White Sox 12 and under baseball team started the summer off right by winning four of its first five games. This week they beat Bedford Hills, 10-8 and Lewisboro, 7-0 to keep their consistent play going. Patterson 11 Gold Loses to North Salem, Tops Kent
The Patterson Pirates 11 and Under Gold Team suffered its first loss of the season, a tough 11-1 defeat at the hands of North Salem at Peckham Park in Patterson on Sunday night. That loss was preceeded by a 10-0 victory over Kent at home.

Young Brewster Girls Cruise to District Title
BREWSTER—The Brewster 11-12 year old Little League softball team defended its District 33 title last week, easily rolling past Croton in two games, winning 15-1 last Thursday in Croton, and 17-3 Sunday at Markel Park in Brewster. Full Story
White Sox 9U Team Picks Up First Win, Stuns New Fairfield
KENT—The Kent White Sox 9U baseball team posted a dramatic win last Thursday at New Fairfield, coming back from a 9-2 deficit to earn a 15-12 victory – the team’s first of the season.
Kent trailed 9-2 after three innings, but chipped away, tied the game at 10- 10 in the sixth, and won it in the seventh inning. Full Story

The Patterson Pirates 12 and Under team, which will be heading up to Cooperstown, the birth place of baseball, in August, defeated Carmel 13-3 on Saturday at home. Full Story

Patterson's 13 and Under baseball team defeated Mahopac 9-3 on the road Sunday night and is preparing to play in the 14 and under division of the prestigious Williamsport Tournament.

It’s not the way they have expected it to start, but this team has some talent and if they can pull it together they can get back on track. Camp Kiwi and the Oasis
The Carmel Fire Department Annual Picnic was held yesterday at Camp Kiwi in Mahopac. Just about every member of the Fire Department and Carmel Ambulance Corps showed up, and a great time was had by all. Littleneck clams and mussels, lobster, and steak made everyone’s mouth water, and I had to pull my Indian blanket out of the car and take a nap. Full Story

MAHOPAC—On Saturday Mahopac beat Somers, 14-2 and on Thursday they slaughtered and no-hit Yorktown, 11-0. Two good wins for a team that had a very strong start to their season, the closest game they had before this week was a 6-0 no-hitter. Full Story

Triple Threat Girls AAU Basketball out of Poughkeepsie took overall champion going 7 - 0 at the Penn State USA Invitational Held at Penn State University July 5 – 8. Over 300 teams participated that included the top teams from the US and internationally. Full Story

Mahopac Hockey Team Wins Nutmeg Games Title
For the second year in a row the Wesco/ Mahopac roller hockey 14u team won the Nutmeg Games championship by defeating the Connecticut Blaze, 5-2. Coach Buckley said he was very proud of the players and is a big thing for a New York State team to win the Nutmeg Games. Full Story
