Living High on the Hog

Commander John Hyla of the Sons of the American Legion Post in Mahopac, reports that their annual Pig Roast was a great success. Veterans came from the Senator Vincent Leibell Veterans Retirement Home in Carmel and Commander Hyla reports that approximately 180 area residents attended.

Proceeds from the this event are going to the Susan Dolson Fischer Family and to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Donations came in from all local businesses including the Yorktown Fire Department, Durkin Water, Atlantic Appliances, Appliance Sales Plus, Bertolini & Sons, and on hand was DJ Anthony Armistead for the entertainment. Without the help of all of these merchants, this event would not have been possible.
