And she also came up very big at the plate. Kaufman, Sacchetti and Coryn Feeney all have been doing well, too. That’s the meat of our order.”

Brewster took on New City last Thursday at Beekman, and walked off with an 8-6 victory.

Sacchetti picked up the victory on the mound for the All-Stars, striking out six and walking two.

We hit the ball, but we couldn’t get anything going.”

A second loss on Sunday – a 7-0 setback to Wappingers – took Brewster out of the tournament.

Shannon Feeney pitched for Brewster and took the loss, striking out four and walking two.

Kaufman tripled for Brewster.

“Wappingers has a nice team,” Feeney said. “They put a lot of balls in play - and we did not. We knew the competition would get tougher, and we knew we’d need to play good defense. There were some bright spots, we just couldn’t put it all together.”
