Seven years ago, Maria Stiefeld was approached by Mary Heady, who asked her to participate in the annual “Freezin for a Reason” jump into Lake Mahopac to help raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis (CF). After a good friend died despite a valiant fight with CF, Mary felt compelled to help. Maria agreed, and for the last seven years the two of them have been jumping into Lake Mahopac. Full Story
