The COURIER would like to clarify that, according to Maria DiSalvo, she has been co-owner of North Ridge Farm since 1998 with Capasso. Prior to moving to Patterson, North Ridge was located in Eastchester from 1992 until 1997. DiSalvo was also the campaign treasurer for Assemblyman Greg Ball during his brief campaign to run for Congress last year. Full Story

Baby Formula Thief
A Westchester woman apparently in need of baby formula for her newborn faces a larceny charge when appearing in Carmel Town Court later this month.
Carmel Police arrested Dana Young, 30, of Yonkers, after officers were dispatched to Hannaford’s Supermarket at the Putnam Plaza for a report of a shoplifter. Full Story

Unemployment Numbers Constant Across Putnam
Putnam’s rate of unemployment continues to be the lowest in the entire region.
The New York State Labor Department reported the county’s rate of unemployment this week at 6.4 percent in June, the same as May, which declined from 6.7 percent in March and 7.4 percent in January. Full Story
