Erratic Driver Jailed on Drug Charges

A report of a vehicle being driven erratically in the vicinity of Putnam Hospital Center resulted in the arrest of a Carmel man on numerous felony and misdemeanor charges.
Carmel cops were dispatched to Stoneleigh Avenue last Thursday at 12:45am for a report of a black pick-up truck weaving along the narrow and winding road. Full Story
Master Gardener Volunteers Award First Scholarships
The Master Gardener Volunteers of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County awarded two $500 scholarships this year. At Monday’s Kent town board meeting, the board members listened to a communications representative present a service plan that could save the Town of Kent upwards of $24,000.

Last Saturday the museum celebrated Railroad Day by unveiling a restored 100-year-old Pennsylvania Railroad Railway Post Office car as well as a special caboose.
