11 and Under Pirates Had Strong Season
The Patterson Pirates 11 and Under Gold baseball team, which also competed in the Williamsport Tournament, experienced another successful season one year after winning the WPBA championship.

‘Pac Nine-Year-Olds Getting Used to Battling for Titles
MAHOPAC—The last year has been quite a ride for the Mahopac nine-yearold baseball team.
The Indians recently completed a strong summer season that saw them advance to the WPBA’s 9YO championship game, where they dropped a tight, 10-9, decision to Lewisboro.
That was after Mahopac had knocked off the No. 1 and No. 3 seeds earlier in the week. Full Story
Commitment Pays Off For Carmel Cubs
CARMEL—The Carmel Cubs 14U baseball team came together all the way back in January, with practices starting as early as 6 a.m., so it wasn’t shocking when they went 18-0 in the regular season to win the WPBA 14-year-old division. What was shocking, however, was their second-round playoff loss to Haverstraw that ended their otherwise perfect season on a sour note. Full Story

KENT—The 10 and under Kent White Sox had a tough summer but there were some positives, too. The Sox’ 4-14 record kept them out of the playoffs, which was obviously disappointing, but other than getting no-hit in their last game, they did play some solid baseball to end the season on a good note. Last weekend was the date when the “Best of the Best” in the New York Elite Baseball league 12U division met up at the Mt. Airy baseball complex in Newburgh to battle it out to see who would walk away with the gold. Full Story
White Sox Softball Squad Continued Success in 2010
The Kent White Sox 16 and Under softball team experienced yet another strong season this year, going 14-1 and winning its division in the WPBA.
Success is nothing new for the White Sox, though, who have lost only three games over the last four years, according to coach Michelle Lopane. Full Story
Local ‘Pac Boys Crowned Champions of the Rink
The Wesco/Mahopac Roller Hockey Team won the 14U "AA" Hudson Valley Roller Hockey League (HVRHL) Championship on August 15, 2010 at Ice time in Newburgh, NY. Coach Robert Buckley said after a grueling season his team went 11-4-1 and they faced the undefeated (15-0) Newburgh team in the Championship. Full Story

CARMEL—It was an up and down season for the Carmel Cubs 10U team; they went 9-9 and struggled to find the consistency needed to get a long winning streak going. Despite their struggles, the Cubs still had a chance to make it to the playoffs by beating Patterson in their last game of the season, but came up short. Full Story
Kent 12U Baseball Squad Had Strong Summer Season
KENT—The 12 and under Kent White Sox baseball team started their summer season on fire, winning four of their first five games. The Sox finished their season with an 8-10 record. They were in a new WPBA league with only eight teams, so they all qualified for the playoffs, but the Sox chose to skip the playoffs and go to Cooperstown instead. Full Story
