Library Set for Founders’ Day Events and Raffle

This year the village of Brewster’s Founders’ Day is Sun., Oct. 3, from 10am to 3pm. The Brewster Public Library is excitedly preparing to make this year even better than last. On a table outside of the Library, at 79 Main Street in the village, a beautiful hand-made afghan will be displayed, giving the public a chance to admire it up close and to buy chances. Only 200 chances at $1 each, or six for $5 will be sold, making excellent odds of winning. The raffle drawing will be held in December, in time for Holiday gifting. Raffles raise funds for books, recorded books, use of the internet and magazines on computer, and DVD’s. Discussion groups, visiting lecturers, children’s craft opportunities and story-telling, as well as dramatic artists are all part of this library’s offerings.

You can also buy books during this Founders’ Day Celebration. From 9:30am to 10am books can be previewed (for $10), and then, from 10am to 3pm, books can be bought at amazing discounts. For more info call 845-279- 6421.
