School Tax Bills Are a Mixed Bag
Tax bills being received this week by property owners in the Brewster School District reflect a mixed bag.
Residents of Southeast are finding a slight increase in their school tax statements while those residing in Patterson will find a decrease in school taxes for the 2010-11 school year. Full Story

New patterns of ingress and egress at the C.V. Starr Intermediate School in Brewster will be welcoming students, faculty, staff, and parents when classes resume next week. Full Story
High School Students Trek to West Africa
Many teens in our community are fortunate enough to travel over their summer vacations. These two individuals were no exception. Their journey, however, took them to a village in Mali, West Africa. They went with a group known as Build-On. This trek took them to a village which has no running water, electricity or any of the amenities that we are so accustomed to in our daily lives. Full Story
School Board to Hold Special Meeting
The Board of Education of the Mahopac Central School District will hold a Special Board Meeting on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 6:30pm, in the Conference Room of the Administration Building.
Immediately upon convening the board will move to executive session.
