Big Demand for Movies
Manager Mc Nulty Is Obliged To
Run Extra Shows To Meet It. Big
Features.
So great is the demand for motion pictures in this village that Manager MuNulty was obliged to run an extra show on Monday evening and it was welcomed by a full house. The hall was cool and everyone enjoyed the pictures. Wednesday night was one more successful performance and likewise tomorrow night will find people from many miles away waiting for the doors to open.
Wednesday, Sept. 23, a five reel feature entitled “Battle of Gettysburg” will be shown and there will be two shows, one at 7 o’clock and one at 9 o’clock. One comic reel will also be shown. Wednesday, Sept. 30 a four reel feature entitled “Joseph in the Land of Egypt” will be placed on the screen.
This is one of the greatest Biblical pictures ever produced and both the 7 and the 9 o’clock shows should find crowded houses.
The weather is now getting cool and the hall is exceptionally comfortable. Don’t fail to miss these shows.
Summer Boarders Leave
Huge Crowd Boarded Afternoon
Train Monday for City Homes
Labor Day was apparently the end of the summer boarding season In Carmel judging from the number of’ people that left town on the afternoon train.
Long before the time for the train to arrive the local station platform was crowded and the estimated number that boarded the train was 150. The cold wave may have been the cause of many of the city people returning to their homes but it was a moat unusual sight to see the vast number that crowded the station platform. Clear Pool Camp and the Calvary Summer Home have both closed for the season and while a few city people still remain in town, Monday was a cleaning house time for most of the boarding houses.
