MARGARET PALMESI
Margaret Palmesi of Croton Falls died Friday September 3 in Mt. Pleasant, NY, at the age of 78.
Mrs. Palmesi was born Sept. 9, 1931 in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Kieghron) Nicholson. She attended Dickerson High School in Jersey City. Mrs. Palmesi moved to Croton Falls 50 years ago, was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and co-founder and owner of Al’s Car service in Croton Falls with her husband Al who she was married to 30 years before his passing away in Decmber of 1989. Mrs. Palmesi retired after 25 years in 1999.
Mrs. Palmesi is survived by her three daughters Monica Pickering of Wappingers Falls, Joann Palumbo of Sanford, FL, Susan Burrows of Orlando, FL; two sons Albert Palmesi Jr. of Croton Falls, Armonda Palmesi of Poughkeepsie; a brother John Nicholson of Port St. Lucie, FL; a sister Mary Conti of Old Bridge, NJ; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wed. Sept. 8, 10am in St. Joseph’s Church in Croton Falls. Internment followed in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
