Lakes Are Important, But ...
Dear Editor:
Last week Mike Kaplowitz held a press conference where he said, “I promise, as the New York State senator of the 40th District starting on January 1st, there will be no higher priority
than bringing and finding the resources from the state of New York, through the Environmental Protection Fund, to bring back Putnam Lake, bring back Lake Carmel and all the other 170 lakes.”
While clean lakes are important, I am sure that I am not the only one in the 40th SD who hopes that my state senator will consider other challenges facing our communities, such as the economy, taxes and jobs, as his highest priorities.
