Louis Eisele passed away on September 15 after 100 wonderful years of life. He was born in New York City on August 5, 1910, to Louis and Minnie Eisele. He grew up in the Bronx with two brothers and a sister. Although he needed to leave school in his mid-teens to help support his family, he went to night school to finish his high school degree.
Throughout his life, Mr. Eisele was very excited about new ideas and began working first with air conditioning and later moved into the electrical and electronics fields. During WWII he worked at the Brooklyn Navy Yard and married Lottie May Harris on May 16, 1942. They had a son in 1947 and enjoyed 68 wonderful years of marriage together. After retiring in 1972 he spent time helping neighbors and volunteering.
He will be remembered as a loving husband and father, a dependable helping hand in the neighborhood and at his church, as well as for his broad interest in how things worked and innate ability to fix anything.
Lou is survived by his wife, Lottie; son, Fred, of Prescott, AZ; and two grandsons, Jason (Seattle, WA) and Scott (Alexandria, VA). In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the charity of your choice. A visitation was held at Cargain Funeral Home in Carmel Sunday September 19, with a funeral service at Cargain, on Monday September 20. Interment followed at Raymond Hill Cemetery.
