Bringing Mount Gulian to Life
The Hudson Valley is an area teeming with rich history, and Mount Gulian, a notable site and homestead in Fishkill, has seen a lot of action in the past. It is most associated with the Verplanck family, a well-to-do Dutch family that bought the land on the Hudson from the Wappinger Indians in the late 1600s. Mount Gulian remained the home of the prominent Verplancks until the 1930s.
