ERIC F. OLSON

Eric F. Olson of Brewster formerly of Pleasantville and Hicksville, NY, died on October 30, 2010 in the arms of his beloved wife Patricia after a valiant battle with Parkinson’s disease.

He was born in Astoria, NY to the late Erik and Agnes (Tully) Olson.

Eric was a graduate of La Salle Academy in NYC and also a graduated from Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY, where he played the saxophone in the marching band. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Eric had worked for Pepsi Cola in the NY office and later at the Purchase, NY headquarters for 37 ½ years, retiring in 1987.

Eric enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and taking part in many home repairs.

Eric is survived by his devoted wife Patricia Egan Olson and five children from his first marriage to the late Margaret Lovett Olson; Margaret ‘Peggy’ (Michael) Sanin of Colombia, MD, Eric Jr. (Susan) Olson of Brewster, Douglas (Colleen) Olson of Airmont, NY, Craig (Kathy) Olson of Goldens Bridge, NY, and Maura Olson of Manhattan; four step children, Patricia Egan (John) Warycha of Brewster, John (Joanne) Egan of Hackettstown, NJ, James (Susan) Egan of Lagrangeville, and Dennis (Christine) Egan of Cortlandt Manor. Also 14 grandchildren, Kyra, Paul, Eric III, Jay, Kate, Bryan, Michael, Christopher, Jim, Lindsey, Theresa, Laura, Steven and Jimmy. Also surviving are ‘beloved’ brother Edward and wife Julia Olson of MA. He was predeceased by a sister Elizabeth Olson Wientzen.
