Helen G. Castillo–Coyle of Danbury, CT, died Monday November 29, 2010 in Danbury. She was 93.

Mrs. Castillo–Coyle was born Nov. 1, 1917 in Boston, MA, daughter of the late Paul and Maria (Faggiolo) Argenti. She graduated from George Washington High School, then at the of 21 she went to Argentina to marry Julian J. Castillo–Coyle whom she had not seen since they were 13 years old. Mr. Castillo-Coyle predeceased his wife on Oct. 25, 2009. Mrs. Castillo-Coyle lived in Brewster from 1957 until 1975 when she moved to Danbury, CT. She was a Spanish Teacher for a short time then the secretary to the principal at St. Lawrence O’Toole School from 1958 until she retired in 1980. She was a Literacy Volunteer of America in Danbury, very involved in the Senior Center in Danbury, volunteered at Danbury Hospital for 10 years, had been a member of St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and a member of St. Gregory in Danbury.

Mrs. Castillo-Coyle is survived by her two daughters; Helene Mandras of Austin, TX, Monica Larca of Brewster, a sister Lorraine Scudo of Ridgefield, CT, three grandchildren; Sara and Eric Larca and Kimberly Doerle; and two great grandsons.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Fri. Dec. 3, 2010 10am at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, Brewster. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery, Brewster. For online condolences please go to beecherfuneralhome.com.
