Donald M. Pearlman, 75, of Avon Park, FL (formerly of Carmel), passed away on February 2, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Pearlman was born on May 16, 1935 to Max and Ruth (Foster) Pearlman in Chester, PA. Mr. Pearlman proudly served his country with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. On October 9, 1955 he married June Adams in Carmel. During his lifetime, Mr. Pearlman was very active in his community; he was a member of the following: Firemans Association of Hudson Valley, Firemans Association of Putnam County and Northern Westchester Fire Police, and the American Legion. In addition, he was made an Honorary Chief and a life member of the Carmel Fire Department. He is survived by his four loving children; Laurie Pantaline, Kathy Conklin, Greg Pearlman and Donald Pearlman, Jr.; nine wonderful grandchildren, Christina

Pantaline, Lisa Pantaline, Greg Pearlman, Jr., David Pearlman, Megan Pantaline, Sarah Forbes, Kari Pantaline, Billy Forbes and Cody Pearlman; five adoring great-grandchildren, Dylan Pantaline, Anthony Pantaline, Dustin Pantaline, Madison Pantaline and McKenzie Coolbaugh; his two sisters, Lenore Lundberg, Carol Madden; his two brothers, Robert Pearlman and Skip Pearlman; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his beloved wife June and his brother David. Visitation was held Wednesday February 9, 2011 from 4–8pm at Cargain Funeral Homes. A service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 11am. Interment to follow at Raymond Hill Cemetery.
