Vincent Leibell’s sentencing date moved to Friday, May 13
The sentencing of former state senator Vincent Leibell has been postponed once again. Originally scheduled for March 7, then March 18, and then April 1, the sentencing has now been pushed to 2pm on May 13, at the federal courthouse in White Plains. Full Story
Census: Putnam’s Growth Rate Slows
County Executive Paul Eldridge expressed surprise when learning that Putnam’s growth rate during the past decade increased by only 4 percent, falling sharply behind its neighbors in Dutchess, Rockland and Orange Counties, as well as 13 other counties statewide. Full Story
Sal Gambino to Lead Chamber
Sal Gambino has hit the ground running. The Carmel resident, who served for 10 years as President of the Putnam Federal Credit Union, was named last week as President and CEO of the Greater Mahopac-Carmel Chamber of Commerce, succeeding Peter Bardunias, who relocated upstate. Full Story
