Mildred Carey, age 98, of Cold Spring, died peacefully April 9, 2011, at Dutchess Rehabilitation and Home Care Center in Pawling.

Mildred was born in Patterson, on August 30, 1912, to John and Anna (Morey) Harrison. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching ‘The Price Is Right,’ ‘Wheel of Fortune,’ and ‘Days of Our Lives.’

Mildred is survived by her loving four children: Charlotte Dingee of Pawling, Mortimer Carey, Jr. and his wife Sue of Wingdale, Priscilla O’Dell of Wingdale, and Harold Carey and his wife Peggy of Dover Plains.

She is also survived by her cherished nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Mortimer Carey, Sr., in 1973 and a sister, Alice J. Smith, in 1997.

A Graveside service was celebrated on Wednesday April 13 at the Maple Ave. Cemetery in Patterson.
