JACQUELINE M. QUINN

Jacqueline M. Quinn of Brewster, New York, died Thursday June 9, 2011 in Carmel, NY at the age of 83.

Mrs. Quinn was born July 12, 1927 in New Rochelle, NY daughter of the late William and Lillian (Lawrence) MacDonald. She graduated A.B. Davis High School in Mt. Vernon, NY in 1945 then married Joseph Quinn on June 18, 1949 in Mt. Vernon. They moved to Brewster in 1963. Mrs. Quinn worked as an Assistant Editor for Readers Digest in Chappaqua, NY for nine years before retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster, was a Eucharistic minister at St. Lawrence and an Associate of the Divine Compassion in White Plains, NY.

Besides her husband Joseph of Brewster she is survived by her five children; Michael Quinn and his wife Jill of Brewster, Kelly Quinn and his wife Ellen of Brewster, Eileen Butler of Chapel Hill, NC, Susan Quinn of Brewster, Marybeth Quinn of Monroe, CT, thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Kathleen Quinn in 1998.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 11, 2011 10 am at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster with Msgr. William Collins officiating. Internment will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Danbury, CT. Calling hous are this evening from 4-8 pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to C/O John Curtin, Putnam County Council VFW, 262 Peaceable Hill Rd., Brewster, NY 10509.
