JANET HADDAD PIERSALL

Janet (Haddad) Piersall, 81 of Brewster, formerly of Danbury, and the wife of Clinton Piersall, died on Saturday morning, August 20, 2011, at Glen Hill Care and Rehabilitation Center, Danbury.

Mrs. Piersall was born in Danbury on January 16, 1930, daughter of George and Mary (Khalli) Haddad. She was raised in Danbury and graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1947 and later attended college.

She was a former manager with the W.T. Grant Store, Danbury, and later worked at the former Brewster Donut Shop and a volunteer at the former St. Andrew’s Thrift Shop.

A resident of Brewster for the past 56 years, Mrs. Piersall enjoyed cooking, reading and volunteering.

In addition to her husband, Clinton, Mrs. Piersall is survived by two sons, David Piersall and his wife, Valerie of East Fishkill, and Steven Piersall of Brewster; two grandsons, David and Tim; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Piersall was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Haddad, and sister, Rose Mc- Donough.

Graveside funeral services and burial took place on Wednesday, August 24, at the Wooster Cemetery, Danbury. There were no calling hours. Jowdy- Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury was in charge of arrangements.
