NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Carmel, Putnam County, New York, will meet at the Town Hall, 60 McAlpin Avenue, in Mahopac, New York, in said Town, on the 27th day of September, 2011, at 7 o'clock p.m. Prevailing Time, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing upon a certain map, plan and report including an estimate of cost prepared in relation to the proposed increase and improvement of the facilities of the Water District No. 2 in the Town of Carmel, Putnam County, New York, consisting of the purchase and installation of an emergency generator, including incidental improvements and expenses in connection therewith. The new maximum estimated cost of the aforesaid increase and improvement of the facilities of the Water District No. 2 in the Town is $126,000, consisting of an increase of $30,000.
At said public hearing said Town Board will hear all persons interested in the subject matter thereof.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Town Board of the Town of Carmel will conduct a Public Hearing at the Town Hall, 60 Mc Alpin Avenue, Mahopac, New York 10541 on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter that evening as possible on a Local Law amending Article 95 of the Town Code of the Town of Carmel, entitled “GARBAGE, RUBBISH AND REFUSE”, as follows:

BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Carmel as follows:
Chapter 95 of the Town Code of the Town of Carmel Entitled Garbage, Rubbish and Refuse is hereby amended to read as follows:
§ 95 30 Period/Term of License and Renewal.
A.        All licenses issued hereunder shall be for a term of the calendar year, commencing January 1 and concluding December 31 of each year. All licenses shall, unless properly renewed, expire on December 31 of each year of issuance. In seeking a license renewal, the licensee shall submit an application pursuant to § 95 28 and appropriate fees pursuant to § 95 29 herein. Upon the enactment of this provision, any license fees previously paid by an applicant for existing licensed issued hereunder shall be pro-rated and/or credited toward any renewal and/or new application fees due from applicant.
B.   In seeking renewal of a license issued pursuant to this Chapter, the applicant shall submit a completed application pursuant to §95-28, together with the applicable fee(s) no later than November 15 of each year. The submission of a completed application and fees pursuant to this section shall be deemed compliance with the licensing provisions of this chapter and shall be deemed a valid current license in the absence of any action to the contrary by the Town Board of The Town of Carmel.
C. The failure of the applicant to submit the renewal application in strict accordance with subsections A and B above shall be deemed a new license application pursuant to §95-29 herein and any existing license shall be deemed expired.
D. Any new license applications submitted and received subsequent to January 1 shall, upon approval of the Carmel Town Board, be valid from the date of approval until December 31. Licence fees shall not be reduced for any application submitted after January 1, notwithstanding the fact that the license term may be for a period of less than one year.
At said Public Hearing, all interested persons shall be heard on the subject thereof.

of a public hearing to be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Patterson Town Hall, 1142 Route 311, Patterson, Putnam County, New York to consider the following applications:
1) Patricia Tanzi Case #03-11 - Special Use Permit - Held over from the March 16, 2011 and April 25, 2011 meetings.
Applicant is requesting a Special Use Permit and area variances pursuant to § 154-105 of the Patterson Town Code, Accessory Apartments, in order to legalize her existing accessory apartment. §154-105 A(3) of the Code requires the floor area of the apartment to be no less than 400 square feet and no more than 600 square feet; Applicant has 2,400 square feet; Variance requested is for 1,800 square feet. § 154-105 A(4) of the Code states that the floor area of the apartment shall not exceed 35% of the entire livable floor area of the single-family principal dwelling and the accessory apartment combined; Accessory apartment is 44% of the entire livable floor area; Variance requested is for 9%. This property is located at 405 Fair Street (R-4 Zoning District).
2) Dino Rentoulis Case #10-11 -Use Variance -Held over from the July 12, 2011 and August 24, 2011 meeting
Applicant is requesting a use variance pursuant to § 154-34 of the Patterson Town Code, Permitted principal uses, in order for a residential use to be permitted in the C-i Zoning District. The two bedroom residence attached to the restaurant has lost its pre-existing, nonconforming status and is no longer a permitted use in the C-i Zoning District. This property is located at 2974 Route 22 (C-1 Zoning District).
3) John & Tina Harnaga Case #15-11 — Area Variances
Applicant is requesting an area variance pursuant to §154-27(12)(b) of the Patterson Town Code; Permitted accessory uses, in order to legalize an existing play set which is 6' from the rear property line; Codes requires a 25' setback; Variance requested is for 19'. The Applicant is also requesting area variances pursuant to §154-27(9)(b) of the Patterson Town Code; Permitted accessory uses, in order to legalize the existing shed which is 1' from the rear property line and 7' from the side yard property line; Code requires a 25' rear yard setback and 15' side yard setback; Variances requested are for 24' and 8', respectively. An area variance pursuant §154-7 of the Patterson Town Code; Schedule of regulations, is also being requested. Applicant wishes to install an 18' diameter round, aboveground pool and deck in the rear yard. The Code requires there to be no more than 12% impervious coverage; Currently exists is 19.75%; Will exist is 22%; Variance requested is for 10%. This property is located at 46 Meadowbrook Court (R-1 Zoning District).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the Town of Kent at the office of the Town Clerk, Kent Town Center, 25 Sybil's Crossing, Kent Lakes, New York 10512 until 12:00 noon on Friday, September 16, 2011 and then at said place be publicly opened and read aloud for the installation of a 600 amp 3-phase generator and a 600 amp 3-phase service rated transfer switch at the Kent Town Hall.
