Anna Mary (Rocco) Pascazi

Anna Mary (Rocco) Pascazi of Brewster, died at her home on September 13, 2011, with her family by her side after a valiant battle with cancer. She was 86.

Born August 21, 1925 in Mt. Vernon, NY, daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Emiro) Rocco, she married Orlando Pascazi September 1, 1946, at Mt. Carmel Church in Mt. Vernon; together they lived in Yonkers for several years before moving to Brewster and Patterson. Anna then returned to Brewster to live with her daughter and her family for the past 8 years.

Anna worked for many years as a dressmaker in Mt. Vernon, and later worked in Brewster at Herbst Brothers and Hipotronics, before retiring. She was a poll worker for the Southeast Board of Elections and a member of the Women's Chapter at the Putnam County Italian American Social Club in Brewster, in addition to being a devout member of the Catholic Church.

Anna loved to read, crochet, cook, pray, and most importantly, spend time with her loving family and friends. She was and always will be an inspiration of love and faith to those who knew her. Anna is survived by her three daughters - Linda Lyons (Kenneth) of Plymouth, MA; Mary Ann Saracino (Raymond) of Valhalla; and Antoinette Rossi (Peter) of Brewster; eight grandchildren - Kenneth, Michael (Heather), James (Danielle), and Mark (Jennifer) Lyons, Gregory (Sarah) and Mark (Dawn) Saracino, and Keith and Louis Rossi. She also cherished her five great-grandchildren, Emma, Sophie, Annabelle, Nicolas and Hunter.

In addition, she is survived by her sisters Josephine Migliaccio and Angela Milano, both of Brewster. Anna is predeceased by her husband, Orlando, and two sisters and two brothers. Her family will treasure her memory and the love she gave them every day of her life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church in Brewster on Sat. Sept. 17, 2011.

Interment will follow in St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery. The Wake will be held on Friday Sept. 16 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY 10509.
