TOWN OF CARMEL PRELIMINARY BUDGET
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Town Board of the Town of Carmel will conduct a Public Hearing on the 9th day of November, 2011 at Town Hall, 60 McAlpin Avenue, Mahopac, New York, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as can be heard, in regard to the Preliminary Budget for the fiscal year 2012 including the General Town Fund, Highway Funds as well as all Water Districts, Sewer Districts, Park Districts, Fire Districts, Fire Protection Districts and Lighting Districts, and
BE IT FURTHER NOTICED that pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of the following officials for fiscal year 2012 are hereby specified as follows: Supervisor: $94,882.00, Town Council Members (ea): $18,490.00, Town Clerk: $80,280.72, and Highway Superintendent: $101,808.72;
AND BE IT FURTHER NOTICED, that the Preliminary Budget for the Town of Carmel has been completed and filed in the Office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, 60 McAlpin Avenue, Mahopac, New York, where it is available for public inspection from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
At said Public Hearing any resident may be heard in favor of or against the Preliminary Budget as compiled or for or against any item or items contained therein. The Town Board will make every effort to assure that the Public Hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Preliminary Budget for the Town of Kent for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2012 has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk, 25 Sybil’s Crossing, Kent, New York where it is available for inspection by interested persons, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours and on the town’s website www.townofkentny.gov
FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN, that the Town Board of Kent will meet and review said Preliminary Budget and hold a public hearing thereon at the Kent Town Hall, 25 Sybil’s Crossing, Kent Lakes, New York, Tuesday, November 1, 2011, 7:00 P.M. and that at such hearing any persons may be heard for or against any item or items therein.
Pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of the elected town officers are hereby specified as follows:
Supervisor – $60,072.00
Town Clerk - $60,330.00
Council Persons (4) each – $16,663.00
Town Justices (2) each – $25,733.00
Highway Superintendent – $78,042.00
Receiver of Taxes – $36,737.00

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Town of Kent is seeking sealed Bids from qualified Contractors for the installation of a 300 amp 3-phase generator and 300 amp 3-phase transfer switch at the Kent Highway Department located at 62 Ludington Court, Kent Lakes, New York.
Bids will be received by the Town Clerk of the Town of Kent at the Kent Town Center, 25 Sybil’s Crossing, Kent Lakes, New York 10512 until 12:00 noon local prevailing time on Thursday, November 10, 2011. Bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud at 12:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as may be possible.
Copies of the information for bidders, general requirements, specifications, non-collusive bidding, certification, bid proposal form and hold harmless agreement may be obtained at the Town Clerk’s office at the Kent Town Center, 25 Sybil’s Crossing, Kent Lakes, New York.
The Town of Kent hereinafter called the “Town,” reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the Town.
STATEMENT OF NON-COLLUSION:
Bidders on the Contracts are required to execute a non-collusion bidding certificate pursuant to Section 103(d) of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.
HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT:
Bidders on the Contracts are required to execute a hold harmless agreement indemnifying the Town of Kent against any and all liability, loss, damages, claims or actions arising from the Contractors’ performance of the services provided herein.
STATEMENT OF EQUALITY
The Town of Kent hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in regard to any Contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
