Michael A Bucci, age 95, of Brewster, formerly of White Plains, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011, in Holmes.

Mr. Bucci was born February 21, 1916 in Brooklyn, to Dom and Maria (Solitore) Bucci. After graduating from White Plains High School, Mr. Bucci served in the army during WWII as a staff sergeant in the 430th Ordinance in France, England & Belgium.

Mr. Bucci married Helen Gardner on March 22, 1941, at the White Plains Methodist Church.

Mr. Bucci was a tire inspector for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in White Plains, for 45 years, retiring in 1982.

Mr. Bucci had lived in White Plains for many years before settling in Brewster in 1982.

Mr. Bucci was an avid sports fan, as well as, a member of the Bethel Men’s club and a life member of the VFW post # 672 of Brewster. He also enjoyed gardening and yard work.

In addition to his wife, Helen, of 70 years, Mr. Bucci is survived by two children, a son, Michael J. Bucci of Livingston, NY and a daughter, Patricia Ann Boadle of Stamfordville, NY; a sister, Lena Calabro of Mt. Kisco; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mr. Bucci was pre-deceased by his daughter, Janet Bucci in 2001.

Friends called at Beecher Funeral on Monday and a service will followed. A private cremation will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Bucci’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association, the Putnam Humane Society, or a charity of your choice.
