Florence Rose Colavito

Florence Rose Colavito, 88, of Albany, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2011 at her residence.

She was born in the Bronx, the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Fuccella. Florence and her late husband Nicholas, owned and operated Colavito Beverage Center in Carmel for nearly thirty years before moving to the Albany area.

Florence also worked in the Carmel Central School District, Albany Tile Supply, and Beverwyck Senior Housing before retiring in 2000. Florence was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Delmar, NY.

Florence was predeceased by her husband Nicholas in 2002. She is the beloved mother of Madeline (Jim) Jeffs, Maria Colavito, Rose Anne Colavito, Nicholas (Terry) Colavito, Elizabeth (Dan) Morris, Vincent (Danny) Colavito, and Christina (Rob) Lillpopp. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Florence will also be missed by her many dear friends at the Whitehall Court Senior Apartments and elsewhere.
