It’s Official: Putnam Valley Council Race In A Second Tie
Recount adds 1 to each tally
After seven tedious hours of manually counting nearly 2,500 votes in a hotly contested council race in Putnam Valley that ended on Election night in a tie, the result last Thursday was the same—a tie. State Supreme Court Justice Francis Nicolai ordered the recount at the request of the two town board members who each received 1,191 votes.
