John B. (Jack) Keane Sr., a former 50-year resident of Brewster, passed away at home in Glendale, Az. on December 18, 2011.

He was 85 yrs old.

He was predeceased by his wife Eileen of 57 years, in November of 2003. Before her death, Jack and Eileen traveled to all the lower 48 states and made several trips to Ireland. He was an avid NY Giants and Notre Dame Football fan.

While residing in Brewster he was a parishioner at St. Lawrence O’Toole, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a life member of VFW Post 672.

He was a World War II veteran, serving with the US Navy, and in 1989 retired from the Prudential Insurance Company after 30 years of service.

He is survived by his son Peter A. Keane of Patterson; a daughter, Linda Burdick of Glendale, AZ; and son John B. Keane of Pawling. Nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive, as well as his brother Peter A. Keane of Brigantine, NJ; sisters Patricia Barrett of Stewart, Fla., and Margaret Pilsbury of Demarest, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.
