Andrew G. Rudemyer, age 82, of Orange City, Fla., went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2012.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Marcia Hall of Mt. Kisco; his daughter Kim Bliss (Dave) of Cooperstown; stepdaughter, Phyllis Manning (Steve) of Conifer, Colo.; stepson, Scott Smalley of New Canaan, Ct.; five grandchildren; four step grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by a son John, brother Joe and sister Marie Merritt of Mahopac.

Andy was proud to be an American and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a past President of the Mahopac Fire Department, member of the Mahopac American Legion and a member of Southridge and Country Village golf associations.

Andy loved his family, and nieces and nephews, and will be missed by all.

Marcia would like to thank the Volusia Council on Aging Respite Program, the staff of Ridgecrest Nursing Center in DeLand and the Hospice of Volusia/ Flagler team for their wonderful care, comfort and understanding.

He will be buried in Mahopac, NY after a private family gathering in the spring. Allen-Summerhill in DeLand is in charge of arrangements.
