76 Students Earn AP Scholar Awards
Students at Brewster High School are beaming this week after receiving word that 76 young men and women have earned AP Scholar Awards for their outstanding achievement on AP exams.
The College Boards Advanced Placement Program provides students with the opportunity to take collegelevel courses while in high school and to earn college credit for successful performance. Full Story
Brewster, Mahopac Say No to Joint Services School Plan
It’s back to the drawing board for members of the Putnam-Northern Westchester BOCES Board.
The Brewster, Mahopac and Chappaqua Boards of Education last week rejected BOCES’ request to fund $19.5 million in repairs for the BOCES campus in Yorktown, citing difficult economic times, which now compels BOCES to formulate another proposal for the remediation. Full Story
Cartwheels for Cancer Make a Difference
Members of the Brewster High School Gymnastics Team are determined that research finds a cure for breast cancer.
The girls, under the direction of team captain Jess Blumberg, sponsored the school’s first annual Cartwheels for Cancer exhibition Sunday at the new Vega Gymnastics located in Carmel. Full Story
