NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ALTERING OF THE BOUNDARIES OF
THE PROPOSED PUTNAM LAKE PARK DISTRICT WITHIN THE
TOWN OF PATTERSON, COUNTY OF PUTNAM, STATE OF NEW YORK
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that by Order (the “Order”) of the Town Board of the Town of Patterson, New York adopted at a meeting of said Board on January 25, 2012, a public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Patterson, New York at the Patterson Recreation Center, 65 Front Street, Patterson, New York, on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. o’clock, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, to consider the altering of the proposed boundaries of the Putnam Lake Park District from those set forth in the Petition for establishment of the proposed District dated August 23, 2011 (the “Petition”). At said public hearing all persons interested in the subject matter thereof shall have the opportunity to be heard.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that in the event the Town Board determines that the foregoing matter cannot be heard at the time and place aforesaid due to adverse weather conditions, the public hearing will be rescheduled to, and will be held at, the Patterson Recreation Center, 65 Front Street, Patterson, New York on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. o’clock or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard. At said rescheduled public hearing all persons interested in the subject matter thereof shall have the opportunity to be heard.
At said public hearing the Town Board will consider whether the boundaries of the proposed District should be altered (i) to include certain properties which would be benefitted by the proposed District which were not included within said boundaries in the Petition; and (ii) to exclude certain properties which were included within the boundaries of the proposed District but which would not be benefitted by its creation. Copies of the Petition, the Order, the “Report on the Creation of the Putnam Lake Park District” dated December 14, 2011 as prepared by the Patterson Planning Department, and various other items relevant to the Petition are on file with, and available for review at, the Office of the Patterson Town Clerk during regular business hours. Said Report, a full and complete copy of which is posted on the Town’s website, includes, among other things, a detailed explanation of how the estimated cost of the proposed District to the typical property within the proposed District and, since different, how the estimated cost to the typical one or two family home within the proposed District, was computed.
