Tigers Close Out With Two More Tight Losses
PUTNAM VALLEY—It’s become a bit of an unfortunate trend, but once again the Putnam Valley High boys basketball team lost a pair of tight games. The Tigers (7-11, 3-5) fell behind early and never recovered in a 53-50 loss against Hendrick Hudson on Thursday, and had a 12-point lead turned into a 44- 40 loss the prior Tuesday against Lincoln Hall. Carmel Girls Close Regular Season with Loss to Tuskers
CARMEL—The Carmel High girls basketball team closed out the regular season with a 43-39 loss to Somers in a League 1B game played last Tuesday at Carmel.
Alyssa D’Apice had nine points, five assists and four steals for the Rams (13- 5, 9-1), Nikki Oliver had nine points and 10 rebounds, and Sabrina Diaz and Taylor Bunkley each added eight points. Full Story
