DANIEL P. ‘DANNY’ DOLAN

Daniel P. Dolan of Dover Plains, died Saturday March 24, 2012, after a brief illness. He was 49.

He was born January 15, 1963, in Mt. Kisco, son of the late Joseph and Anne (McGrath) Dolan. Danny grew up in Brewster and graduated from Brewster High School in 1981. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard from 1983 to 1987.

He moved to Dover Plains in 1992 and in 2000 became a Putnam County Park Ranger, where he worked until recently and was a member of the American Legion Post #1949 in Wingdale.

Danny is survived by his brothers Matthew Dolan and his wife Karen of Suwanee, GA; Edward Dolan and his wife Kandee of Hyde Park, NY;, his sister Catherine Kohler and her husband William of Syracuse; his nieces and nephews; Brandon and Brandi Dolan, Casey, Liam and Emma Kohler, Kirsten, Anne and Patrick Dolan and many beloved cousins. He was also predeceased by his stepmother Jane (Davis) Dolan.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster. Internment will be private. Danny’s family would like to thank the Nurses and staff at the Westchester Medical Center’s ICU for the fabulous care given to their brother during his stay at the hospital.
