David M. Sceri

David M. Scerri, age 53, of Brewster, died April 2, 2012, at his home.

Dave was born on May 27, 1958, in New York City to Samuel Scerri and the late Rosemarie (Bezzina) Scerri.

Dave married Frances “Red” Nicholson on June 22, 1991, in New Paltz, NY. Dave and Red made their home in Manhattan before moving to Brewster in 1998.

Dave worked as an electrician for local #3 in Manhattan for 30 years.

Dave enjoyed life. He was a dedicated family man totally involved in his daughters’ lives; especially sports and school activities. Along with his wife, Red, they were the center of his life.

In addition to card playing, Dave was also a Bob Dylan enthusiast and loved horse racing.

Besides his father, Sam, and his wife, Red, Dave is survived by his two daughters, Samantha and Dylan, as well as his brother Joseph Scerri of Dobbs Ferry, and two sisters, Marianne Scerri of Calistoga, Ca., and Suzanne Bixler of Downingtown, Pa.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, April 9, at Sacred Heart Church in Putnam Lake, NY. Interment followed at Milltown Rural Cemetery, Brewster.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dave’s memory towards his daughters’ continuing education. Donations may be made payable to Samantha Scerri and Dylan Scerri.
