Carolyn A. ‘Carie’ Robins

Carolyn A. "Carrie" Robbins, age 45, of Brookfield, CT, formerly of New Fairfield and Brewster, died Monday, April 9, 2012, in Carmel.

Carrie was born in Eastchester, NY, on March 14, 1967, to Joyce (Clark) Goetze of Brewster and the late Theodore A. Goetze Jr.

She graduated from Brewster High School in 1985 and attended Naugatuck Valley Community College.

Carrie was a secretary for Prochek Home Inspections in Danbury for ten years, a job she enjoyed greatly. Carrie enjoyed the ocean and visits to the Jersey shore, as well as gardening and her music. Fishing brought about a sense of calm when life would get in the way and she could always be counted on to simply light up any room she walked into. Carrie will be greatly missed.

Besides her mother Joyce, Carrie is survived by her fiancé, Patrick Streaman of Brookfield; her daughter Amanda Clark of Bethel, Ct.; two sisters, Laurie Gallagher and her husband Chuck of Brewster and Valerie McHugh of North Clarendon, Vt.; a brother, Theodore A. Goetze III of Brewster; and two grandchildren, Christina Clark and Kevin Clark.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 21, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster. A private cremation was held earlier. Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY, will be assisting with the funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carrie’s memory may be made to Hospice Care, 540 White Plains Rd., Tarrytown, NY 10591.
