DWI Defendant Cops Plea in Traffic Death
A Stormville man accused of killing a woman on Route 22 in a Southeast crash 18 months ago will be spending the next nine years in state prison. James DeMartino, 25, pleaded guilty Wednesday in Putnam County Court to a reduced charge of aggravated vehicular manslaughter. He had faced 25 years to life in prison had he been found guilty of murder.
