Francis J. Grimont, who was raised in Yorktown Heights and lived in Mahopac for over 50 years, passed away on Monday October 15, 2012. He was 77. He was born in Peekskill on September 22, 1935, the son of Timothy and Emily DiGiovanni Grimont.

Frank was the owner/operator of Mantovi Septic Tank Service, Inc. in Mahopac and was a member of Local 137, Operating Engineers. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and owned a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was a former member of the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.

On May 16, 1959, he married Clara M. Deinhardt at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac.

In addition to his wife of Mahopac, he is survived by his daughter Judith of Mahopac and his son Joseph of Carmel; his brothers, Timothy of Hopewell Junction and Thomas of Yorktown Heights; his sisters, Barbara See and Diane Troyano, both of Yorktown Heights and Ellen Grant of LaGrangeville; and his grandsons, Joseph and Francis.

Visiting was held on Saturday October 20, at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac. Cremation was held privately.
