Wiliam P. Morison

William P. Morrison of Brewster died Thursday October 25, 2012, in Danbury, at the age of 70.

Mr. Morrison was born December 12, 1941 in Pittsfield, Ma., son of the late William and Dorothy (LaFleur) Morrison. He graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1959 and then graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Mr. Morrison served with the Army for six months in 1965 before moving into the reserves until 1971. On April 11, 1970 he married Christine McLaine in Elmira, New York. They moved to Brewster 36 years ago where he became a member of St. Lawrence O’Toole Church. He worked as an Electric Manager for NYSEG for 38 years before retiring in December of 2001, and was a member of the Brewster Rotary Club for 25 years.

In addition to his wife Christine of Brewster, he is survived by his son Sean Morrison and his wife Jennifer of Middletown, NY; his grandson Colin and granddaughter Kelly; and his brother-in-law Mark McLaine.

A Mass of Christian Burial was on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, Brewster. Interment will be private. Arrangements were made through the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster.
