Patricia Ann Lahey Shea
Patricia Ann Lahey Shea, age 81, a lifelong Cold Spring resident, died on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
Born in Cold Spring on April 7, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Schatzle) Lahey. She was pre-deceased by her husband the late Philip J. Shea.
Mrs. Shea was the retired executive director for the American Cancer Society in Middletown, retiring in 1993. She was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Church, where she was member of the parish council and member of the Putnam Children Committee.
Survivors include her six sons Joseph (Patrice) Shea of Bedford Hills; Philip (Allison) Shea of Beacon; Richard (Karen) Shea of Cold Spring; Peter Shea of Saratoga; Christopher (Maryann) Shea of Acton, Mass.; and Michael
(Barbara) Shea of Groton, Mass.; and one brother, Francis “Terry” Lahey of Cold Spring. Thirteen grandchildren also survive. Predeceasing her were four brothers, Joseph, James, Philip and Bernard; and her sister Grace Lyons.
A Mass of Christian Burial was at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Our Lady of Loretto Church 24 Fair Street Cold Spring, NY. Interment was to follow in the Cold Spring Cemetery.
Friends were invited to call at the Clinton Funeral Home corner of Parrott and Pine Streets (21 Parrott Street) Cold Spring, NY 10516 on Friday, November 30, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
