Concetta Clorofilla, 90, a resident of Poughquag since 2004, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.

A former resident of Mahopac, she was born in the Bronx on September 4, 1922, she was the daughter of Guido and Nunziata (D’Amato) Visioni. Concetta was the wife of the late Alfred Clorofilla.

Concetta had been a Den Mother and a Cub Scout leader for many years, and volunteered at the Eagle Eye II Thrift Shop in Putnam Hospital, Carmel and the St. John the Evangelist Church food bank in Mahopac. She also gave comfort and solace to those in need.

Concetta had worked as an office manager for Kuchinsky & Associates in Yorktown Heights and later Pawling.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Clorofilla, and his wife, Michaela, of Mahopac; her daughter, Anne Kuchinsky

Oswald and her husband, Bruce, of Poughquag; her grandchildren, Heidi and Bridget, and Deena and her husband, Will, Matthew and his wife, Christie, and Jared; and her twelve great-grandchildren, Emily, Olivia, Evan, Aidan, Alex, Dillon, Ashley, Derek, Erica, Kira, Parker, and Cassidy.

Friends called at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, January 14, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Church, Pawling. Burial was to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Concetta’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
