Carl Borsari of Somers, New York, died on Saturday February 2, 2013, at White Plains Hospital. He was 75.
Carl was born June 11, 1937, in Brooklyn, son of the late Antonio and Nancy (Benvenuto) Borsari. Carl graduated from Bishop Loughlin High School in Brooklyn in 1955 and Manhattan College in 1959. After college he was commissioned an officer in the US Air Force.
Carl married Marylyn Fuertinger on July 16, 1960 in Glendale, NY.
Carl was a NY State Professional Engineer who worked as a commercial real estate executive in Manhattan for many years before retiring. He enjoyed golfing, sailing, skiing and in retirement, his morning coffee with friends and wintering in Florida. But his greatest passion in life were his grandchildren; Papa was a fixture at their many games and performances.
Carl is survived by his loving wife, two sons, Michael and his wife Theresa Borsari of Bernardsville, NJ; and Christopher and his wife Patricia Borsari of Brewster; and his siblings, Ted, Victor, Mary and Marie. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Julia, Sarah and Jason.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held February 6, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Church, Croton Falls, NY. Visitation was Tuesday at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave, Brewster, NY. Interment followed at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
