Teresa Esposito

Teresa Esposito, 99, of Kent, NY passed away on April 08, 2013, at Putnam Ridge Nursing Home, in Brewster.

Mrs. Esposito was born on October 18, 1913, to Joseph and Catella (Bossetti) Palmieri in Greenwich Village. On May 18, 1944, she married Louis Esposito at St. John the Baptist Church, in Yonkers. Teresa was a dress designer employed by Simplicity Dress Design, in New York City.

While raising her children she was a receptionist at her husband’s beauty salon and made gourmet foods for a local artisan market in Bedford. Later in life she worked as an associate for Lord & Taylor in woman’s dresses, receiving many commendations for her service.

Her hobbies were drawing, painting and cooking. She is survived by her two loving children; Robert (Joanne) Esposito from Buffalo, and Karen (John) Codella from Lake Carmel; and one adoring grandchild, John J. Codella. She is predeceased by her devoted husband Louis, who passed in 1998, and her daughter Barbara. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 12, at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla.
