by Sammel Architecture,
PLLC, (the "Plan"), which
Plan is available for public
inspection at the office of
the District Clerk, such
Project to include (as and
where required): Districtwide security improvements,
including the installation
of building access controls,
cameras, and intruder
locksets; the installation
of a District-wide data
network infrastructure
improvements to support
voice, wired and wireless
data systems; improvements
to the heating, ventilation,
and electrical systems;
bleacher and synthetic
turf field replacement;
track resurfacing and/
or reconditioning;
reconstruction and
regrading of the field
event area; reconstruction
of student bathrooms;
parking lot resurfacing
and brick repointing; all
of the foregoing to include
the original furnishings,
equipment, machinery,
apparatus and ancillary or
related site and other work
required in connection
therewith; and to expend
therefor, including
preliminary costs and costs
incidental thereto and to the
financing thereof, an amount
not exceeding the estimated
total cost of not to exceed
$6,792,000, provided that
the estimated costs of the
components of the Project
as set forth in detail in the
Plan may be reallocated
among such components
if the Board of Education
shall determine that such
reallocation is in the best
interests of the District;
(b) that $1,000,000 from
District fund balance and
$150,000 from an anticipated
state grant are hereby
authorized to be expended
for the Project; and
(c) that a tax in the amount
of not to exceed $5,642,000
is hereby authorized to pay
the balance of the cost of
the Project, such tax to
be levied and collected in

installments in such years
and in such amounts as shall
be determined by said Board
of Education, and that in
anticipation of such tax,
bonds of the District may
be issued, and a tax is also
hereby voted to pay the
interest on said bonds as
the same shall become due
and payable.
BOND PROPOSITION
NO.2
RESOLVED:
(a) THAT IN THE EVENT
BOND PROPOSITION NO.
1 IS APPROVED, the Board
of Education of the Carmel
Central School District, in
the Counties of Putnam and
Dutchess, New York (the
"District"), is hereby further
authorized to construct a
Lifetime Wellness Center
at the High School (the
"Project'), substantially
in accordance with and as
described in a plan prepared
by Sammel Architecture,
PLLC, (the "Plan"), which
Plan is available for public
inspection at the office
of the District Clerk;
such Project to include
(as and where required):
the partial reconstruction
of and construction of an
addition to the High School
weight room; the foregoing
to include the original
furnishings, equipment,
machinery, apparatus and
ancillary or related site
and other work required in
connection therewith; and to
expend therefor, including
preliminary costs and costs
incidental thereto and to the
financing thereof, an amount
not exceeding the estimated
total cost of not to exceed
$1,775,000, provided that
the estimated costs of the
components of the Project
as set forth in detail in the
Plan may be reallocated
among such components
if the Board of Education
shall determine that such
reallocation is in the best
interests of the District; (b)
that a tax is hereby voted
therefor in an amount of
not to exceed the estimated
total cost of $1,775,000 to
finance such cost, such tax

said tax, bonds of the District
are hereby authorized to

Bond Proposition No.2 is
approved, it shall become
effective only in the event
that Bond Proposition No.1
is approved.

labels to be inserted in
the voting machines used
for voting at said Annual
District Meeting and
Election in substantially

payable; and (d) that if this
Bond Proposition No. 2 is
approved, it shall become

Proposition No.1 is

(4) calendar years, s/he is
eligible to vote at the annual
meeting on May 21,2013.

register on any regular
business day at the office of
the District Clerk, 81 South
Street, Patterson, New York,
between the hours of
9:00 AM and 4:00 PM,
until five (5) days prior to
the vote. No person shall be

does not appear upon the
School Register or upon the
registration list furnished by
Putnam and Dutchess Boards
of Election for election
districts encompassing the
District

of qualified voters shall be
filed in the office of the
Clerk of the District at the
School District Office, 81
South Street, Patterson, New
York, in said School
District; that such register
shall be open for inspection
by any qualified voter of
said District between the
hours of 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM in each of the five (5)
days prior to the vote, except
Sunday and at the polling
place on the date of the
annual meeting.

NOTICE THAT, pursuant to
section 2018-a, Education
Law applications for
absentee ballots for the
budget vote and election
of board members may be
obtained at the office of the
Clerk of the District. An
application for an absentee
ballot must be received by
the District Clerk at least
seven (7) days before the
election if the ballot is to be
mailed to the voter, or the

day before the election, if
the ballot is to be delivered
personally to the voter at the
District Office. A list of all
persons to whom absentee
ballots shall have been
issued, will be available
for public inspection in
the said office of the Clerk
during regular office hours
until the day of election.
Any qualified voter may
file a written challenge of
the qualifications of a voter

whose name appears on such
list, stating the reasons for
the challenge
AND FURTHER NOTICE
is hereby given that any
proposition or question
not requiring official notice
in the call of the annual
meeting may be voted upon
at said meeting, providing a
Petition signed by at least
one hundred (100) qualified
voters, together with the
legal residence address of

each, is filed with the Clerk
of the District no later than
thirty (30) days before the
meeting.
