Sifting Through the Sands of Time
MEMORIAL TREE TAKEN TO NEW YORK BY AIRPLANE TUESDAY AMAWALK NURSERY MAPLE DEDICATED TO AIR FLIERS
On Tuesday afternoon the first living tree to be delivered by airplane was started on its journey through the air from Lake Mahopac. It was a 20 foot Norway Maple from the Amawalk Nursery and was donated by Miss Evelyn W. Smith, the president, as a memorial to the Eagle Men of the World War.
