Joseph Rendine

Joseph Rendine, 79, a longtime resident of Kent, N.Y., died May 10th after a courageous battle with leukemia. Born on February 6, 1934, in the Bronx, Joseph was a Korean War Veteran and served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954. After his Honorable Discharge, he met the love of his life, Theresa, and they married in May 1957.

He became employed with the NYPD from 1962 to 1997, retiring with 35 years of service as a detective. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Theresa; daughter, Laura Bromfield and grandson, Salvatore DeSiena, sister Mary (Steve) Sansone, and nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, May 17th, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cargain Funeral Home, 10 Fowler Avenue, Carmel. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18th, at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Union-Halstead Cemetery, Route 301, Carmel.
