Sifting Through the Sands of Time
When the poll of The Literary Digest closed last week, 4,806,464 American citizens had voted on prohibition. It is an astonishing figure. The result in our opinion draws a correct picture of the sentiment of the people on that absorbing public question, indicating as it does that the country is 69 per cent, wet or moist and 31 per cent, dry.
