Amelia ‘Mimi’ Collabolletta

Amelia “Mimi” Collabolletta, a lifelong resident of Croton Falls, died Thursday June 27, 2013, at Putnam Hospital Center. She was 100 years old.

Mimi was born on March 24, 1913, in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., daughter to the late Augusta and Angelina (Bocchino) Collabolletta. She attended North Salem Schools.

Ms. Collabolletta was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Croton Falls.

Mimi worked for Reader’s Digest in Pleasantville, for over 31 years in the mail order department before retiring.

Ms. Collabolletta is survived by her niece Nancy A. Corsi of Croton Falls; her nephew Roger Paro of Fishkill; and her four grandnieces, Susan Henshaw, Christine Page, Nicole Tarnowski and Kelly Durkin. Amelia was predeceased by her six sisters and one brother.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday July 2, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, Croton Falls. Burial was to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Somers. A private cremation occurred prior to the mass.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mimi’s memory to the American Cancer Society and/or American Heart Association.
