Lemon Cherry Ices
1 1/2 cups sugar 2/3 cup water 2 lbs ripe cherries 2 tablespoons lemon juice 8 Lemons, hollowed out Directions: In small saucepan bring sugar and 1/3 cup water to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool. Pit cherries: puree in blender and strain through a fine sieve, discarding solids.
